Diagnosing the Lungs with Bronchoscopy
A bronchoscopy is a diagnostic procedure performed via telescopes to visualize the passageway to the lungs. Problems identified can include malacia collapse, foreign objects, inflammation, signs of aspiration, narrowing or tumor growths.
The procedure is performed under a general anesthetic in children. It can be performed with soft flexible scopes or rigid scopes depending on the situation. We have extensive experience performing this procedure.
